A letter from our founder
We believe new technology tools are making young people more employable, not less. Learning today is permissionless and widely accessible for free. Future Fellows is being built to support the ambitious, passionate builders still in their early-career phase. To help them stand out, and be seen by employers. To support their transition into a great career.
AI is raising the supply of capable young people and, at the same time, making them harder for employers to see.
We believe:
- Capable Young people today are more capable than any generation at their age in history. Students have never known a workflow without AI, and are already building the skills needed for entry-level success. The most ambitious among them are shipping software, running businesses, and producing valuable research.
- Hard to find Capability is spreading widely — younger students still in high school, early college students without campus recruiting. These stars exist outside the traditional channels built to find them. Résumé screening was designed for a world where credentials were a decent proxy for capability. That proxy is decaying.
- A design problem Employers need help matching with this talent pool. It is a design problem — defining the project, qualifying the fit, and managing the logistics of employment. We absorb the shared cost to screen, scope, and carry the trust needed for employers to take on the risk of an unproven new hire.
What we do
Future Fellows finds high-potential young people, vets them, and places them in paid, scoped projects with employers — research, marketing, and AI implementation. A Fellowship is not an internship. It is a defined project with a defined deliverable. The Fellow does real work; the employer gets real output; and at the end there is proof — the one signal that cannot be faked.
Where we are
Early. We are recruiting our founding cohort of Fellows and our first employer partners now — San Francisco, Washington D.C., and remote. Join at this stage and you are helping build the program.
